Politics, Culture, Life, and Unusual Takes

Seriously?  OK, I am not a fan of Roseanne, and have not watched the new show.  I never much liked the original rendition.  I always thought she was crass, obnoxious, and too mouthy.  Her politics were often too left, and I assume they still are, given that her show still pushes causes that are deeply progressive.

Yet, she did one thing she cannot do: attack a member of the protected class.  Not even a black woman was who she attacked, but the Great One’s most trusted advisor: Valerie Jarrett.

Now, despite the liberal themes of Rosanne Part 2, the family supports Trump, apparently.  This was enough for it to find a chorus of hate.  It seems like the show has been hanging on because people were watching it, not because ABC was behind it.

But now, she crossed a line, and she’s gone.

That would be fair if not for the treatment those on the right get.  A comedienne once held a severed head of the present president and she had to be cajoled to be fired…  What gives?

We all know what gives…  But some just can’t say it.

Are you implying there’s a double standard? Some hypocrisy afoot?
